Lot 1002
1853. NGC graded MS-66 RB. Here's a really elegant copper coin, sporting that rarely seen brick-red luster mixed evenly with chocolate brown. Bold strike both sides, with separation of the stars and full detail in the wreath's leaves. A little more red on the reverse than the obverse. Smooth surfaces about as nice as could be. Population: just 2 graded MS66RB--this coin tied with the Eliasberg specimen! Worth a close inspection and a strong bid.
